About Fabienne Good: Fabienne Good is an artist/designer/maker/educator who grew up in Dufferin County and followed her passion of art & design through OCAD University in Toronto. She went on to complete a Masters in Fine Arts with a joint major in Education and Public Art in Europe. Fabienne has taught art & design in various settings in various countries around the world. While in Switzerland, she had the unique opportunity of working on a UNESCO-school project – highlighting the importance of upcycling; this is when the upcycled basket-weaving project initially started. Basket-weaving is a very old traditional craft used by many cultures. By using magazines (in lieu of rattan or wicker), the magazine pages are prepared in a way that they can be woven following the traditional basket-weaving processes.
