The Museum of Dufferin Archives is pleased to offer research services for patrons unable to visit us in person. Requests must apply to Dufferin County (formed 1881) or its constituent Towns and Townships (Amaranth, East Garafraxa, East Luther, Melancthon, Mono and Mulmur Townships or the Towns of Grand Valley, Orangeville and Shelburne).

A fee of $30.00 per hour of research, in increments of 1 hour, with a minimum fee of $30.00 + HST will be charged. This price incorporates all fees including research time, low-resolution copies, and postage. High resolution digital reproductions of photographs are available at a separate fee of $20 per image, however factors such as the physical condition of the records and copyright restrictions may prevent some or all of the reproduction processes from being offered.

If no resources are available relating to the request, you will be so advised in the initial ‘time/cost’ assessment, and no fee will be charged.  A personal email is sent upon completion of the research outlining the material found and its cost. We accept payment by cheque, money order, or we are also able to process online payments with VISA or Mastercard. Upon receipt of payment, the package will be mailed using regular post.
